Jason Carson

Property Manager

After graduating from Morgan State University in Hospitality Management, I worked a few years in the restaurant industry but quickly realized my passion was in real estate investing. By merging my expertise in customer service, I found an easy transition into property management in 2009. The Real Estate industry is constantly changing and there's never a dull moment — a constant reminder that my career change was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I love solving problems and ensuring that community boards or investors are meeting their financial and property goals.

In 1987, after being a real estate agent with Long and Foster, I decided to become a real estate broker and form Carson Properties. The firm developed a reputation for helping the small landlord and the moderate-income buyer purchase property. We built wonderful relationships with non-profit entities including WISH, Columbia Heights Merchants Association, Columbia Heights Development Association, and MANNA. I received the Theodore R. Hagans Award for outstanding achievements in business, and awards for outstanding service in community management in Washington, D.C. Daily operations were turned over to my son, Jason, in 2019.

Tamica Crawford

Assistant Property Manager

I have tremendous experience in property management after working several years with large real estate companies within the Washington, DC market. I have expertise in leasing, maintenance coordination, property inspections, and compliance enforcement. Prior to real estate, I served as a 911 Call Taker for the DC police — giving me the skills to respond to emergencies while staying calm and providing exceptional customer service. Outside of work, I am a mother to three beautiful daughters and enjoy interior design and traveling.

Kekeli Thompson

Assistant Property Manager

I am a dedicated professional with a background in property management, behavioral services, customer service, and administrative operations. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Virginia State University and have extensive experience in residential property management, including leasing, resident relations, compliance, vendor coordination, and daily property operations. Throughout my career, I have developed strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills while building positive relationships with residents, colleagues, and clients.

My experience as a Behavioral Technician has further strengthened my patience, empathy, active listening, adaptability, and de-escalation skills. Working with individuals with diverse needs has taught me the importance of understanding different perspectives and approaching each situation with compassion and professionalism. I enjoy helping others and bringing my combined experience in psychology, behavioral services, and property management to create welcoming, supportive, and positive environments.

Carson Properties was established in 1987 as a professional full-service property management and real estate marketing firm.

Serving the metropolitan area, we currently oversee the management, leasing, and sales of multi-family properties, HOA associations, and condominium/cooperative projects.

As property managers, our goal is to maximize the value of the properties we handle and to be sensitive to and supportive of our owners’ needs. As property owners ourselves, we understand the value of quality tenants, precise maintenance, and maximizing revenue while minimizing expenses.

We are proud to say that in an industry with high turnover, we have one of the highest retention rates.
